Passive
music therapy improves nutritional, digestive and immune level of geriatric
patients in a coma or minimally conscious state, as has shown a study conducted
by Sanyres, in collaboration with the department of statistics at the
University of La Salle.
The
program, the first carried out like this, has been launched in the center of
Madrid Aravaca Sanyres and the results have been presented at the last meeting
of the Spanish Society of Neurology. To carry it out, the researchers analyzed
14 patients admitted to the Special Care Geriatric Unit (UCEG) with a mean age
of 87.29 years.
To
all of them, they underwent a previous assessment test consisting spend as Noma
